haha!!!! I pick up my 360 on tuesday!!!!!!!

No Xbox for me. I will be exploring the PC game world to the max after the weekend cuz i get my new machine tomorrow!!! Its a 3.0gig dual core with all the high end bells and whistles as far as Ram,Video,Sound goes and will set up well with my server and the 600+ gig of storage i have in myserver with the 3.6gig processor....gonna look into the bit torrent (sic) stuff also since i have also upgraded my DSL to 3mb a sec....send me some stuff everyone and let me know what i can do to make these machines work.....(don't wanna run Seti though)....oh yea tlorin....i have most of the programs to start learning .NET from Microsoft including the web stuff. Hope you have a pleasant week off and i will be available during the week daytime all next week also.

I have a good idea for your server! I read about something called Darknets yesterday on one of the techie sites. Basically, they are P2P by invite only, and well-nigh untraceable by the evil RIAA/MPAA.=) I think you can go to www.darknet.com for a good roundup of fair use info/anti-bad guy stuff. And a search should bring up some info of how to set one up.

yea....and he must be bummed being the 3rd to get one cuz he was the 1st to order one.....LMAO. So by what yer sayin is that other than AIM i would have an outlet for my massive mp3 collection as well as a place to find what i don't have. I will check out the site and get back to you on what i find.

I am finding a lot of blogging about the subject of Darknet. Problem is i am not finding any MEAT on the subject. Is it because they are "in the dark part of the net", just hard to find, what apps do they use, etc. If ya find out about sites,memberships,or anything useful please post links either as a comment here or in the forum. Any links about bittorrent and sites for that would help also. Mirc or other Irc chat programs might work also but they are not a direct p2p as they go through another server/computer before they reach their requester. I think i need a lot more info on this subject cuz i could host a ton of stuff to people that I trust and as long as i can keep a clean(as in no spy,add,virus ware)system. On my set up we could all benefit from this. I can store massive files and after this weekend probably up to 750-800gig. Presenlty have 120,160,and 250 gig drives and will be adding 80 and 200 gig this weekend.....sorry tlorin but i think i am gonna try and plae WOW as well as LOTR that you got me before i venture further into gaming unless its a game that i can solo without being killed by someone/somethink every 10 min cuz I SUCK at games till i play them for about 40hrs or so and that was the "easy" games i have tried....ok will wait for responses everyone and thanks
